How do I know Smalleys Solicitors LTD is a reputable, talented law firm?
Our reputation for excellent client service and top-tier legal advice is backed by our legal accreditations, exceptional client reviews, and case studies. We are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and hold a Lexcel accreditation from the Law Society of England and Wales, which signifies our commitment to client care, meticulous case management, staff development, and technological investment.
Can you take on my case?
We offer a free 30-minute consultation for certain legal matters to new clients. This allows us to determine if we can advise and represent you. We adhere to a professional duty of honesty, ensuring that if pursuing legal action is not in your best interest, we will inform you. If we lack the expertise or there is a conflict of interest, we will refer you to another law firm.
How much do your services cost?
All SRA regulated law firms are required to be transparent about pricing. For some legal matters, such as conveyancing transactions, we offer a Fixed Fee. Please view our Fees Page for detailed pricing information.
What if I am not happy with your service?
We take client care very seriously. As a Lexcel accredited law firm, we provide a clear and accessible complaints procedure. If you are dissatisfied with our service, you can also contact the SRA, the Law Society, or the Legal Ombudsman.
I am not able to travel to your office – do you make home visits?
Yes, we can make home visits, though there may be a charge for the trip. We are dedicated to ensuring everyone has access to justice; if you are shielding or disabled, we are happy to visit you. We can also arrange video conference meetings.
I do not live in Nottingham. Can you still represent me?
We regularly support clients across the country, not just in Nottingham. The distance does not affect our ability to provide effective advice or representation.
Do you have Coronavirus precautions in place?
Yes, we follow all government guidance on Coronavirus safety. We understand some people are more vulnerable or prefer to continue socially distancing. Please inform us of your preferences before any meetings, and we will accommodate you accordingly.
I am not sure whether I need a Solicitor?
Many people are unsure when to seek legal advice, often waiting until it is too late. Our friendly team believes there are no silly questions. If you are uncertain about needing professional legal advice, please call us to schedule an appointment. We offer coffee, tea, biscuits, and a ready ear.
